郝芳，男，内蒙古赤峰市人，1964年5月生。博士，长江学者奖励计划特聘教授，博士生导师。1982年、1989年和1995年分别毕业于中国地质大学，获矿产普查与勘探专业学士、硕士和博士学位，1998年4月～1999年4月在美国进行合作研究。1989年～2000年中国地质大学(武汉)工作，2000年10月开始在石油大学工作，主要从事油气成藏机理的教学和科研工作。发表论文36篇。1996和1997年分别被评为湖北省、国土资源部跨世纪学科带头人和湖北省有突出贡献的中青年专家，2001年获国家杰出青年科学基金资助，曾获青年地质科技金锤奖、中国青年科技奖，2001年被评为国家九五重点科技攻关计划先进个人。
